Oh, thanks for the clarification! I did find out that he was involved in the show from the beginning and all that, and figured he must have been the first replacement for Graae. (See my comment on Michael's post.)

I do believe that the intention is to release a DVD soon, like the Rent cinecast. I'm just hoping that they include the post-film performance! The Cats and Sweeney numbers cracked me up!

Thanks for visiting our little blog! :-D

Larry Raben was one of the 2 original understudies of the show and has been with the show since it's inception at Steve McGraw's dinner theater. I was the original company manager of the show. All of the original Plaids were great guys and I was amazed at how well they had aged 20 years later. Jason Graae and Guy Stroman were the other two original Plaids and I also was wondering why they were not in the Broadcast.
They were older than the other two original Plaids so maybe that had something to do with it. I thought the broadcast was very well done but the sound in the Union Square Theater was so awful and so muted that it was hard to enjoy the show. A good part of the Plaid magic was the blending of their voices. Still a very enjoyable evening and it would be great if the broadcast was released as a DVD.
